Aug - PICA

August was a big preview of how summer would play out with a string of events and shows across the venues with just on 100 events delivered.

PICA with Teletech 002 and Peking Duk ( Bunnings Rave ) as highlights over there, Espy and stokehouse with a number of buyouts keeping the corp side busy. Prince, 170 and northcote all firing back up.

Bring on festival season

May - Warehouse Project

Largest show yet at PICA with Gigcontrol pulling out all the cards for Warehouse project.
Absolutely mammoth design and glad to be developing a venue capable of this level of activation using every last kg of available weight capacity in the recently upgraded roof.
Hopefully this becomes a regular thing as we can’t wait to see what they build next time around.

Feb - St kilda fest

That time of year again!

With all of our venues in the area putting on events we had our work cut out for us.

A multi band bill at the esplanade hotel was weeks in the making with a tight build time and short sound checks. The team on the day pulled this one together beautifully!

Next was another band/DJ line up at Stokehouse pasta bar with Sinj Clarke providing the perfect soundtrack for a day on the foreshore.

The Prince hotel had multiple activations on the go throughout the weekend just to tie it all together.

Really happy with everyone involved and already working on bigger and better events for next year!

Nov - Usual November Chaos

Another huge year nearly done with November serving up the usual.

PICA is now open (Port Melbourne Industrial Centre for the Arts) A couple of shows in and we are really happy with the space. The guys from Electric Callboy tore the roof off to a sellout crowd so really excited to see what else comes through the space.

Other highlights this month were our first event at the Terrace in the Botanical gardens along with plenty of racing carnival activations.

Big steps forward with the imminent launch of the technicaltalent.com app and continual additions into the equipment inventory have us closing out 2023 on a massive high.

Mar - Grand Prix Time

Grand prix is always a big week for us as our home turf around St kilda is taken over.

This year was no different with events across all venues with Red bull and Aston Martin 2 of the stand outs. A small interruption for the Stokehouse build when an ex president rocked up but still delivered on time.

Jan - Revive Policy Launch

More industry support on its way.

We had the privilege of running the National policy launch in the iconic Gershwin room.
This involved coordinating live stream, performance and video elements with a special guest speaker Prime Minister Anthony Albanese

Notes about the policy

The Australian Government released its landmark National Cultural Policy—Revive: a place for every story, a story for every place, on 30 January 2023.

Revive is a 5-year plan to renew and revive Australia's arts, entertainment and cultural sector. It delivers new momentum so that Australia's creative workers, organisations and audiences continue to thrive and grow, and so that our arts, culture and heritage are re-positioned as central to Australia's future.
