NOVEMBER 2016
It's been a long few months, but we finally can reveal the second stage of the new Stokehouse.
Pontoon (a casual grill restaurant) opened on the 12th of November on the ground level of the St Kilda institution. The whole ground level features 40 speakers, most of which use D&B audio technical equipment, with 4 and 5s speakers hidden throughout the roof in a custom-built, acoustic ceiling.
When in DJ mode, the main PA is activated with the rest of the room falling into delays. The main PA consists of 3 x 18s subs, and Yi7p mid highs. The entry encompasses 5x SoundTube Coaxial Rock speakers with more IP67 boxes on the deck facing the St Kilda beach.
Lighting was another massive element on this installation. With a budget of 500m of waterproof RGB led lighting fitted throughout the entire building, 300m of which has found its way on the ground floor alone. These are driven by custom rack mounted LED drivers with available output of 600w per zone. There's plenty of more info and pictures to come as we better get back to work on the first floor - this will need to be seen to be believed!
